We set out to advance all six performance characteristics (weight, aerodynamics, stiffness, strength, ride quality and craftsmanship) that made the original Scylon unique.
Advanced Materials
25 Years of Composite Braiding
After a thorough review of our 25 years of composite braiding excellence, using 54 braid configurations and 18 different fibers, it was clear that advanced materials would be required to hit our targets for Scylon Gen 2.
We set out to maintain the legendary stiffness, durability and ride quality of the original Scylon while delivering an aerodynamically enhanced frameset with full cable integration that weighs under 900 grams raw.
Generation 2
Braiding Technique
The Scylon Gen 2 features a continuous braid topology that starts at the bottom bracket and extends through the front triangle, creating an unbroken carbon fiber structure for exceptional strength and performance.
Additionally, the Gen 2 layup incorporates Directional Morphing, allowing carbon fibers to be precisely aligned at angles from 45 to 30 degrees within a single braided layer, ensuring optimal material placement for maximum efficiency.
Powerbox
Chainstay System
The distinctive one-piece chainstay system is at the heart of the performance and handling of the original Scylon.
For Scylon Gen 2, we constructed the entire Powerbox system from ultra high modulus fibers reducing the component weight by 20% while retaining the exceptional performance characteristics of the original and increasing the tire clearance to 32c.
DRAG + STIFFNESS
Optimized Shaping
Balancing aerodynamics, weight, and stiffness is challenging. Increasing tube profiling adds weight, while narrowing frontal areas can affect stiffness and durability.
For the Scylon Gen 2, we focused on tube shaping to reduce drag without sacrificing stiffness. We kept the classic airfoil-shaped downtube and seat-tube, enhancing them to meet the demands of modern road racing while maintaining the lightweight, responsive handling TIME is known for.

With 25 years of fork manufacturing experience, we’ve created a fully integrated fork for the Scylon Gen 2.
AERO INTEGRATION
Open Source Flexibility
Designed to be the most open source and flexible solution, the Scylon Gen 2 is supplied with an FSA integrated headset system and SRS top cap. This system allows usage of any semi-integrated or fully integrated cockpit or handlebar / stem configuration.
Numerous aftermarket headset bearings and top cap solutions are compatible.
While we love the aesthetics of integration, we understand the complexity within the market and have chosen a solution that allows TIME owners the ultimate flexibility, fitting solutions and rider experience.
ENHANCED SADDLE ERGONOMICS
New Scylon Seatpost
Produced using the same materials and technology as the Scylon Gen 2, the new seatpost system allows for perfect integration and aesthetics. The new seat rail clamping system is a patented design that allows for both a -20mm and a +10mm offset allowing the cyclist a massive range of fore-aft adjustability.
Compatible with all 7mm round and 7x9mm oval seat rails regardless of material.
